Voice and text
Talk naturally or type. Streamed voice responses keep the conversation flowing
AI help for what’s on your screen
Montimin is Zalkap’s AI companion for Windows. Ask by voice or text about what you choose to share, and get answers or supported actions without switching to a separate chat
Early alpha for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit)
Montimin is still in development. Some features may not work as expected, and things will change between updates
AI assistance usually lives apart from the software you’re using. You end up describing your screen, pasting text and switching windows. Montimin closes that gap by working with the context you explicitly choose to share
Screen context is optional and permissioned. Montimin does not watch everything continuously, and you can stop sharing, revoke permissions or cancel supported actions at any time. Permissions can apply once or be remembered through local controls, and sensitive actions keep additional safeguards
Each capability is part of the current implementation and is being tested in alpha builds
Talk naturally or type. Streamed voice responses keep the conversation flowing
Select a screen region and ask about it. Montimin connects your question to exactly what you authorize it to see
Montimin reasons over the current exchange, so follow-up questions don’t need the whole story again
A Rust core connects the desktop interface to an integrated MCP tool host, keeping model reasoning, tools and execution clearly separated
Screen sharing and application actions ask first. Revoke access or cancel an action locally whenever you want
Open applications and carry out supported mouse and keyboard tasks. Montimin checks the result of each action
A foundation model reasons. The harness connects that reasoning to context, bounded tools and an environment where actions can be carried out and checked
Montimin is the first application of this work. Zalkap’s research extends beyond any one product
Foundation model
Zalkap harness
Context orchestration, multimodal input, bounded tools and MCP, permissions, native execution and result verification
Your digital environment
Conceptual architecture. Supported actions and verification depend on the application and task
Understand. Share an error message, a chart or a dense document and ask what it means and what to try next
Learn. Get explanations in context while working through unfamiliar software or material, or open the study canvas and watch a topic drawn step by step
Create. Get help writing, organizing or editing in compatible applications
Work. Get a second pair of eyes on a form, a spreadsheet or a report before you send it
Navigate. Ask Montimin to open an app or carry out a supported task for you, with your permission
Montimin is being built to answer right where you’re looking: circles, arrows and short handwritten notes over your own apps
Working in the alpha. Voice and text conversation has been tested internally, and opening applications has been validated locally
Built and under test. Screen context and permissions are implemented. Mouse and keyboard tasks have passed synthetic tests. The study canvas is new and has been tried internally
Coming next. Bringing the on-screen annotations shown above into Montimin, real-world validation and broader Windows compatibility
Conversation is one part of the product. Its central focus is connecting reasoning to user-authorized context and supported interaction inside your digital environment
For people who spend their day across Windows applications, whether they are studying, creating or working, and want help that understands what they are looking at
No. Screen context requires authorization. Sharing can be revoked locally, and remembered permissions affect when Montimin asks again
Compatibility depends on the application and task. Computer interaction is still being validated, and universal application support is not promised
Download the installer above and run it on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). This is an early alpha, so expect rough edges; if something fails, email italo@zalkap.com and tell us what happened. The installer is not yet digitally signed, so Windows may show a SmartScreen notice; choose More info and then Run anyway. Montimin updates itself when a new version is available
Join the testing list if you’d like to share feedback, take part in short interviews or try new features before they reach everyone
We’ll email you when a test fits. Follow development updates, or contact the team directly
